ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved Rs 17 million for the construction of the first phase of the 11th Avenue, a CDA official told Daily Times on Friday.
The 11th Avenue starts from IJ Principal Road and ends at Khayabane Iqbal, he said, adding that the CDA would construct the new avenue from Khayabane Iqbal to Kashmir Highway in the first phase. �The authority has approved PC-I of the project and would soon start its construction work after completion of other necessary requirements,� he added. The official said that five underpasses would be constructed each at Kashmir Highway, sectors F-10 and F-11, Nazimuddin Road, Ibne Sena Road and Sowan Road.
He said the CDA had so far constructed six avenues including the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and first phase of 9th avenue.
